OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

Interface with photographic/video and EDU/Education markets to provide technical, educational and Campus program support. Provide support to the sales and marketing departments of Nikon Inc. Keep abreast of technology and photography trends which drives the professional photographic market. Represent Nikon Inc. at trade shows, Nikon School and other specialty assigned field events. Keep NPS Field Operations Manager apprised of travel schedule and commitments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Support Nikon’s Campus/EDU program in the field, maintain relationships and locker support on site with selected partners in the program.
  • Provide technical and educational support for professional photographers and video customers in all photo/video markets.
  • Call on professional photographers, cinematographers, colleges and universities, newspapers, agencies and other industry entities providing, technical assistance and purchase recommendations.
  • Create and deliver seminars based on different photo topics and areas of expertise.
  • Participate in Nikon Inc.  field events as required.
  • Provide technical and educational support to sales and marketing departments.
  • Provide Nikon Inc. with photographs to be utilized in presentations and printed materials.
  • Provide the company with updated information regarding technological advances in photography, computer hardware and software development.
  • Provide Nikon Inc. with updated information on the field performance of products.
  • Continuously research new markets for potential customers.
  • Keep NPS Field Operations Manager apprised of schedule and commitments.
  • Must be able to travel domestic and international up to 75%
  • Must be able to work beyond the normal hours of operation

 

Ancillary responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with customers and industry professionals.
  • All other duties as required or needed.

                                                     
QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • MAC applications
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Thorough knowledge of Nikon Inc. photographic product line
  • Nikon Inc Software (i.e. View, Capture)
  • Working knowledge of digital photo printing and color management
  • Working knowledge of audio and visual equipment
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% includes domestic and international

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 + years instructional photographic experience
  • 5 + years photography experience
  • B.A. Photography preferred, but not required

Compensation depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to; knowledge, skills, experience, education and location. The range for this position is $72k-$101k.
